Vintage Inn Restaurant in Cottage Grove

The service was exceptional..polite and quick, checked back often and quick drink refills when asked. The food wasn't so good.. Philly cheese Steak was dry and Hubby had to add salt and pepper to give it some flavor. I had open faced beef sandwich which would have been good if they hadn't added the overly salty gravy. The mashed potatoes had what tasted like season salt around the outside and with the gravy it was so salty I couldn't finish it.

Food was served cold coffee cup had a chip in it which was fine but two of our breakfast plates also had huge chunks of glass plate that was missing had a chunk out of it about an inch and a half to 2 inch long so apparently they save their chipped dishes and use them!!! 3 chip dishes and one meal seems a little unlikely an accident.Our eggs were Raw and runny white stuff definitely uncooked cooked. the service was terrible I think the waitress was having a bad day and she was completely sassy and unfriendly.The food was awful and it's very pricey for what you get totally do not recommend. We won't be eating there again

Not bad however I would not say it was amazing either. Prices were a little lower than average compared to other places like this which is a plus. I would eat here again if I was in the area. I have only eaten here once so I would say it is worth giving it a try at least once and make your own opinion.

I’m not from the area, and I tend to be very skeptical with diners when I’m traveling. I must say, I had a very pleasant experience. Familiar diner feel, food is appropriately priced and the quality is definitely up to par. The staff has been very hospitable and attentive. Very pleased with my experience here and would recommend to any friend traveling in the area. Just added it to my list of favorites!

If you are looking for a great little eatery not too far off the beaten path, Vintage Inn is your place! Pancakes, eggs, ham, bacon, sausage...oh my! And that was just breakfast!! Service is excellent and the coffee was real fresh. Good food, friendly people, and a great place to eat. Head there soon. You'll be back!!!I know I will!!

Very good good - lunch - turkey and sweet potatoe fries, and guac bacon burger. Very tasty and filling. Wonderful service from the wait staff. Was not very busy due to COVID but very clean and sanitary

We four had a good americano meal. We enjoyed the "turkey bomb" and my chocolate malt/shake. Our wait person was a teenager working there when I visited many times between 1970 and 2020! We had a great meal; see you again soon!

Great service, Very tasty food, huge portions at a fair price. Not only, but when my waitress found out I was saving some of my breakfast for my pooch, she went and got more gravy added!!!!I WILL COME BACK WITH MY FAMILY FOR SURE!!WAY TO GO!

Great experience! Food was great, server Ryan was exceptional and took very good care of us. Give a thumbs up!! Highly recommend if in the area.

It was open later than some others which was good but they were closing early. We only stopped in for a piece of pie and what I had tasted old and stale. The topping was extremely dry the filling was almost flavorless and the Graham cracker crust was turning into dust.

Great service. Friendly people. Burger was HUGE!!!!!! Filled the plate. They didn't skip on the tomatoes and onions neither! Glad we stumbled across the Vintage Inn. Cute, clean diner. Very busy so you know it's good. I'm sitting here enjoying the happy buzz of people around. It brings a smile to my face

Very clean, but I would expect that at this time. The wait time was minimal and the food was really delicious! Did my eggs just right. The coffee was tasty and I didn't have to wait for refills...the wait person was watching! The menu had a little bit of everything and had a good a la carte selection. So,I would think there would be a breakfast for everyone!! Highly recommend...friendly staff too. The only thing that I didn't like, it's very hard to get out of their driveway, unless you're going with the traffic.

Food was good. Restaurant was busy and server seemed like he might have been new. This is our second try at this restaurant and we had 2 different experiences. Love the way they serve the ranch dressing. It's as though they are trying to please the guest! 👍 food was good. The down fall is that the phone would not stop ringing.

Great breakfast. Waitress's were very courteous and made it feel like you were at their house. The menu items named from local history, which is what the town was made of originally. The food was great, and the proportions were just right for a grown man, or the kids menu for the light eater or for the younger kids. They offered meats for the meat eater and salads and greens for the vegetarians. We had a larger crowd and they moved things around quickly to accompany or group. Thanks again,Ben

Love this place for Breakfast. Country Fried Steak, irder of bacon, biscuits & gravy, eggs. Everything was perfect.

The food here is amazing and I love how the people are down to earth and easy going. Relaxed atmosphere. Great place to grab some good old fashioned homemade grub for a reasonable price. Great job guys and keep up the good work!

The food is great, the service is friendly and prompt, and the restaurant is clean. My only complaints are two- I’ve been here twice in the last month and asked for eggs over medium. Both times I got over easy. My second complaint is that the prices are a bit high. You do get great portions, but $11.50 for country fried steak and eggs is a bit much. But really, the service is great. I just saw the waiter chase down a car with their to go box they must have forgotten on the table. Dammit, that just made me change my review from 3 to 4 stars :D

The food was good and served promptly. The waitress was top notch promptly greeted us and served us well. We arrived at the end of lunch (1:15 or so on a rainy day) got rock star parking and a nice table with out waiting.

GoodFood. The salade with cheese was real good. Great fries. Friendly waiter. Value for money. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!

We met my Aunt for lunch here, the atmosphere was great for visiting, the device was also good. My sister and I both ate hamburgers and fries of which were both good. Prices were decent, we would eat here again.

BEST HOMETOWN RESTAURANT BAR NONE! Todd and his staff are all welcoming, warm, friendly, efficient and their food is excellent! If you are going by Cottage Grove on a road trip, just take exit 174 off I-5. Restaurant is across the intersection at the first light. Easy OFF the freeway, easy back ONTO the freeway. You won't be disappointed.

Good food and service. Classic American menu. I went simple with biscuits and gravy. Homemade biscuits melted under my fork. Coffee was strong and tasty. Lone waitress handled the whole place like a champ. Thanks for charging my battery bank while I ate! Just thought the prices were a tad high.

The place offers an awesome variety of fresh food. I like dining here. Staff members are always helpful, rates are fair and the spot is always clean.
